Washoe County is calling for volunteers to sign up online for a survey of the night skies September 9 - 13.
Here's the text of the email:
Editors's Note: Dark skies and the loss of our rural night skies was a topic in opposition to the 900 home Sierra Reflections Project between Pleasant Valley and Washoe Valley. The Washoe County Planning Commission rejected the project but the County Commissioners and Regional Planning Commission approved it. If you value our South County rural lifestyle, we encourage you to participate.
