The Virginia and Truckee train crosses Hwy 395 in the southwest corner of Washoe Valley about where the Bellevue ramps are now. This may be the excursion train just prior to the closing of the railroad on May 31, 1950. The excursion train was pulled by engine 27. The train is headed south and we can see Slide Mountain in the background.
