Due to multiple requests from residents of Pleasant Valley, Steamboat Valley, St. James Village, Washoe Valley, and the surrounding areas, the Pleasant/Steamboat Valleys Landowners Association (PSVLA) has established a legal fund to help pay the attorney expenses for the organized opposition to the Sierra Reflections housing development proposed to be built in Pleasant Valley. As of June 14, 2026, over $50,000 in legal fees have been incurred, with this effort expected to continue through much of 2026. This legal fund is the only anti-Sierra Reflections legal fund supported by the Pleasant/Steamboat Valleys Landowners Association, Washoe Valley Alliance, and the West Washoe Association.
Thus far a resident of Pleasant Valley has graciously paid the legal expenses. But it is time for the community as a whole to do its part by raising funds for this cause. The funds raised will initially be used to assist in paying the attorney fees and then to take over payment of those fees.
PSVLA has opened a separate bank account to segregate contributions to this legal fund. If there are funds left in the account after this current fight against Sierra Reflections is complete, the surplus will remain in this account for future needs if another development similar to Sierra Reflections threatens the South Valleys. Depending on the success in raising money for this legal fund, reimbursing our Pleasant Valley “benefactor” for part of what they have paid may be considered.
How to contribute:
1. Write a check payable to Pleasant/Steamboat Valleys Landowners (or “PSVLA”), write “Legal Fund” in the memo section and mail it to PSVLA at P.O. Box 19201, Reno, NV 89511.
2. Go to the legal fund contribution page at Zeffy, which can be found at this link:

There is also a GoFundMe page for this legal fund. However, unlike Zeffy, GoFundMe charges processing fees. So we ask that you contribute by check or through Zeffy so that all of your contribution goes into the legal fund.
