We've received the following dispatches on the date of the Regional Planning Commission meeting to approve or deny the Sierra Reflections project.

"We have received an email from Jeremy Smith, TMRPA Director, that the current plan is to change the date of the Sierra Reflections hearing by the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission (TMRPC) to May 28, 2026. I think this is firm but the email was not as strong as desired. Will keep you posted if something changes. The current legal action by members of our group to change the decision of the BCC does NOT stop the hearing by the TMRPC. We must continue to prepare for that meeting. If you read Chapter 3 of the Regional Plan you will see that the review by the TMRPC is very restricted and seems to be more of an evaluation of the Envision Washoe 2040 Master Plan compliance than a review of the details of the SR Application. Regional assumes that County Commissioners made a fair and valid decision, which they didn't. We are researching the best way to present our case and will give guidance in the near future. If you have ideas please send them to us."

And...

"The Regional Planning Commission (RPC) hearing on the Sierra Reflections application and conformance to the Regional Plan has been re-scheduled to Thursday May 28, 2026 at the County Commission chambers.  Time TBD.County Clerk Galassini (retiring at year-end) is preparing the 3.10.2026 County Commission meeting minutes (voluminous) where the Sierra Reflections appeal was heard for approval at the BCC meeting on 4.28.2026.  Thereafter, the minutes will be sent to the RPC and will be available to others."
