580 South Plans

The warehouse development at the southwest corner of Mt Rose Hwy and South Virginia Street is a mixed use development with potentially apartments and commercial businesses. Renderings show two more warehouse or office buildings. Also at the top of the illustration above, on the western side of the project there appears to be a drive-in food or beverage business. Also on the site are envisioned three strip mall type buildings and a gas station. These plans are probably conceptual and may not be the final configuration. But it aligns with what the developer has previously said that 580 South is a mixed use development. Lining Mt Rose highway on the approach to Virginia Street are two apartment complexes.

Current projects are planned for all four corners of the intersection. A Costco, this project and another commercial project at the southeast corner bordered by South Virginia and Greiger Grade Road. This will be quite the congested intersection when it is all built out.
